HISTORY
After gaining over 20 years experience working in various funeral homes, Mr. Scalisi purchased his first facility in 1994 and called it Clearwater Funeral Home, named for the community he would proudly serve. The time had come for him to establish his own facility where he could better serve his clients in his own natural way. He needed to be there to help, to nurture during such a difficult time. It was his calling. He wanted to step over the mere business of meeting grieving families in an office. As owner, Mr. Scalisi could now follow through from beginning to end. He would help a family through its pain from that first contact where a son or daughter would say "Mother is not well", to the drive home after the funeral. Within five short years business quadrupled. Charles credits the promise he made to himself (at that tender age of twelve) to the success of the Clearwater Funeral Home. In July of 2002 he diversified his business purchasing a second funeral home, a cemetery and crematory located in Dunedin. With the central Pinellas County expansion came a name change. Clearwater Funeral Home became Eternal Rest Memories Park & Funeral Home. Now a full service funeral establishment, he proudly serves the community he dreamed of helping when he was younger.

TODAY
Of significance to today's industry, Eternal Rest Funeral Home stands as one of the last independent, family owned homes in the area. Other local funeral homes have gone out of business or have been bought by stockholder-owned corporations. The Scalisi Family facility reflects just the opposite. Here you will find a loving, caring atmosphere where you are not just a number. Our goal is to make one of the most difficult times of your life as easy as possible. We offer a truly full-service operation. Eternal Rest Memories Park is an open and spacious cemetery, offering burial, mausoleum and niche interment as well as our lovely, tranquil scatter garden around the lake with its peaceful fountain. Our crematory is also on premises, where we accommodate our families' loved ones with care and respect. All cremations are done by a licensed funeral director who will take the utmost care throughout the entire process. Also on the grounds, for your convenience, is our formal chapel for viewings and services. Inside you will find a warm atmosphere created by cushioned oak pews and chandeliers, as well as family rooms with comfortable and welcoming sofas and refreshments.
